Edzyl Magante is senior counsel in the areas of commercial litigation, labor and employment, including employment law counseling, and appellate practice. His experience before joining Parker, Milliken, Clark, O’Hara & Samuelian has encompassed representation of individual and corporate clients, both plaintiffs and defendants, in commercial and employment litigation.
Mr. Magante has litigated actions for breach of contract, breach of the Business and Professions Code, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, accounting, and conversion. He has also represented employees and employers in claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour violations, including class actions. At Parker Milliken, Mr. Magante continues to broaden his scope through involvement in, among other things, First Amendment litigation, real estate litigation, and appellate work including appellate oral argument.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Magante gained significant experience in international tax and business law practice from his employment at a Big-Four accounting firm’s Philippine office, where he was recognized as a Visionary for strong performance and communication skills. He previously clerked at the Supreme Court of the Philippines and taught conflict of laws and international economic law at top-tier Philippine law school Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.
Mr. Magante is admitted to practice before all state courts and all federal district courts in California.
