Ms. Freitas is a shareholder at Parker Milliken. Ms. Freitas is a Certified Family Law Specialist* and is currently Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists (ACFLS). Ms. Freitas has served on the ACFLS Board of Directors since 2009, and has co-chaired and been on the Spring Seminar committee, which organizes advanced family law programs over a 3-day weekend in Rancho Mirage/Palm Springs annually.
Ms. Freitas is admitted to the State Bar of California; United States District Court, Central District of California; the United States Court of Appeals; and the Supreme Court of California. She is a also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Family Law Section, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Family Law Section.
As the author of several articles on family law matters, Ms. Freitas’s publication topics include:

She was also a featured speaker at a Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company seminar, addressing Preventing Malpractice in the Specialties.
With extensive experience in representing business owners and professionals in complex dissolution matters involving complicated financial transactions, Ms. Freitas specializes in the practice of family law with an emphasis in dissolution of marriage litigation and mediation. Ms. Freitas has also been retained as an expert witness and consultant in legal malpractice defense matters.
Ms. Freitas graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1978 with a B.B.A. in Accounting and received her J.D. from Loyola Marymount University School of Law in 1982. She has also been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine, a designation given to less than 5% of the California Bar.
