Practice Areas

Candice Shikai joined Parker, Milliken, Clark, O’Hara & Samuelian as a litigation and trusts & estates associate in 2018. Prior to joining Parker Milliken, Ms. Shikai worked as an associate for a large national law firm in healthcare law, primarily defending medical providers in all stages of medical malpractice and premises liability litigation. Prior to that, Ms. Shikai was a post-law school Fellow with the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney, Business and Complex Litigation division.

During law school, Ms. Shikai externed for the Honorable Jon S. Tigar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. She was also a summer associate at a large full service law firm, a law clerk at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in San Francisco, and a three-year research assistant to Professor David Oppenheimer, researching the roots of the modern concept of diversity.

Ms. Shikai is admitted to practice law before all courts in the state of California. She serves on the Japanese American Bar Association Board of Governors, is on the Board of Directors of the Japanese American Bar Association Educational Foundation, and is a Co-Chair of the Japanese American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Group. In her free time, she enjoys going to the opera, training in classical voice, traveling, and spinning.
